Who Can Apply: Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
General/EWS: Minimum 55% marks in a Master's degree.
OBC-NCL/SC/ST/PwD/Third Gender: Minimum 50%.
Final-year Master's students can apply provisionally (degree must be completed within 2 years).
4-year Bachelor's degree holders (with 75% marks) are eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission only.
Ph.D. holders who completed a Master's before 19 September 1991 receive a 5% relaxation.
Age Limit (As of 1st June 2025)
JRF: Maximum 30 years.
Assistant Professor: No age limit.
Age Relaxation:
OBC-NCL, SC, ST, PwD, Women, Armed Forces: Up to 5 years.
LLM holders: Additional 3 years.
Research experience: Up to 5 years.
